MAX7219/MAX7221 是緊湊型串行輸入/輸出共陰極顯示驅動器，可將微處理器 (μP) 連接至最多 8 位的 7 段數字 LED 顯示器、條形圖顯示器或 64 個獨立 LED。 片上包括一個 BCD 碼 B 解碼器、多路復用掃描電路、段和數字驅動器，以及一個儲存每個數字的 8x8 靜態 RAM。只需要一個外部電阻器來設置所有 LED 的段電流。
